Vanessa Hagen Photography and Policies.

Contracts- These are usually signed before or after a session. In your session it may include a release to publish and use your photographs for my website/blog and social networking sites such as Facebook and used to allow for printing for print portfolios. This is optional and privacy is respected if this is declined.

Free shoots/ contests- These are upon occasion. I offer these for different reasons and they do not hold any cash value to them. Check back often through my fan page and blog to see if there are any casting calls or contests running so that you can join in on the action!

Print Labs-  I use professional printing vendors for your custom photography print orders. Your disc will come with PRINT files so that you may have them printed at your discretion on your time. It is highly recommended that you consider purchasing your prints through the photographer and their choice vendors for the reasons of consistency and quality. Inquire for more information.


Deposits- If you have booked a shoot with me, I require a $50 deposit to retain your date. I usually send out invoices/payment requests via paypal as a quick and secure way to pay. Cash is also accepted. If you should have to cancel and re-book, it is allowed one time and is not a guaranteed date. If you completely cancel the deposit is NON REFUNDABLE. If your session is a "Mini" I require the full amount to be paid in full prior to your session.

Turn around time- A typical session can last from an hour to two hours long and can render many great images. After a shoot, I sift through each photo to find the best of the set. Once I have done this, I edit my fingers off! :) I hand edit each photo one by one to get a great customized memory that will be sure to last. This whole process can take anywhere from 4 days up to 2 weeks. Generally, it does not take me more than a week to process all of your session photos. This is dependent upon which session you choose and how many photographs your session renders.

Duplicates- I do NOT provide duplicate discs or products free of charge. Please contact me if you need duplicates. If you order in bulk, I will provide a set discount for your bulk orders.

Facebook Tagging- I do not mind if the client tags themselves or family in photo's on or from my Facebook fan page. I ask that my logo is not removed or altered in any way. It is placed on the image to protect my work and your images from being stolen and used by other people.

Refunds- Due to the nature of my work, I do *not* refund for services provided. I spend many hours on top of the paid shoot time finishing photo's and preparing them for print and web usages. Each image is edited individually to fit with the creative vision you and I have collaborated on in our pre-consultation meeting.
